I am at this time finding it rather hard to make time for pyglibs...
I am also starting to work with pyglet a bit more - and I love the 2d+3d combo it offers. So I am going to start to try getting a "final" version of the original pyglibs packaged up. This may not be "the" final version - but it will be at least 0.5, and it will be a while before I get back to it. But, I know a few people have used this before - and if anyone wants to continue development - just let me know I'll add you to the sourceforge page :) At this time the features I know are needed are: refactor gui to a cleaner system, rewrite the map render/sprite class, clean up the image class a bit, clean up rest of code, document the thing to death ;) I know there are more features that we all would like to see I just can't remember them all right now. So if there is anything in particular, let me know now ;) I think this should not take too long to do, but we'll see. After this I am planning on building a 3d tile engine, for rts, tbs, or even rpg games. But it will also allow all the 2d functionality of pyglet as well for all those projects that would want that ;) This will use pyglet - unless I find I hate it ;) Thanks for all the help and testing you guys have put into this project - it has been really fun :) Cya around :) |
